My avatar is only in it's first stages but he has silver wings to go with his "fallen angel" outfit. The outfit I believe is an expression of how I feel about myself. The angel part describes niceness but the fallen half underlines a perhaps darker streak that doesn't always. The wings match the outfit but don't have any personal meaning to myself.

Television Concerns
The TV in the earliest stages of was just a pleasant distraction from the sad facts of life.
Wikipedia Scandal?
So, the discussion page for "Oral Sex" on Wikipedia states that there is no interest in censorship and therefore there are numerous pictures which would be deemed inappropriate in the ordinary community but in the encyclopedia they are related to the topic. Personally, I believe that pictures are unnecessary to assist in compiling all the information available on this topic.

News, what is it?
There are many different kinds of information and nearly all of them would/will make it on "the news". News worthy ideas are mostly conflicts and triumphs that fit the owner of that medium's agenda. Personally I use the news to find out what is going on in the world and what people believe/think about events. Some of the reasons I watch/read the news are to find out what the global markets are doing and what new conflicts have arisen. Good, reliable news doesn't exist in any medium because everyone has some bias or twist on the news story.

Blog Assignment
"No more work," as quoted by the screaming, rioting prisoners in the Prison District of Neverwinter in Neverwinter Nights. I think that there should be anarchy ruling the wiki!

Response to Question #3
How familiar am I with newer technologies changing the nature of popular culture? Well, that would appear to be a two part question, first being, that I know newer technologies do, in fact, change popular culture. I do not always realize that the popular culture has indeed changed. I do participate in social networking and blogging, I own a PSP™ which I use as an MP3 player, and I also am familiar with both instant messaging and text messaging via cell phone.

Response to Exercise #1
So, yesterday:
My clothing choice was based on comfort, something that nearly everyone would agree is a good criteria. After that I ate a nice american breakfast of waffles and sausage, then quickly moved to the couch to see the latest update on Hurricane Ike moving through Houston, Texas. After I had enough of watching the same few sentences repeatedly broadcasted as breaking news I ventured over to my computer to play World of Warcraft and see if anything interesting was happening with my guild. Nearly two hours later I called up my aunt to ask her if I could come over to play Bioshock on her Xbox 360; after a good four hours I finally made it through Arcadia and saved the game so I could eat dinner with the family. Pork chops, mashed potatoes, and steamed broccoli were on the menu. When dinner was done I hung around to play a card game with the adults of the family called Apples to Apples™. After the game was won I finally hit the road to return home through the awful rain storm that flooded nearly all the roads in town.
